A Pool Should Be More Than a Place to Swim
Blue Key Pools was built on a simple belief: a pool should be the centerpiece of your backyard, a retreat for your family and a space designed for long-term enjoyment. We design and build custom gunite pools and high-end renovations for homeowners in Wellington and across Palm Beach County.
We stay hands-on and owner-involved. You deserve a pool builder who communicates clearly, sets realistic expectations and stands behind the work. From the first conversation through the final walkthrough, we guide you through every phase so you know what is happening and what comes next.

Meet Chris Hetzel, Owner
Chris Hetzel’s connection to the swimming pool industry spans generations. He grew up around the pool business while his father ran a swimming pool maintenance company. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University, he joined his brother’s pool renovation company and gained hands-on experience in remodeling, construction and project management.
After years in the field, Chris started Blue Key Pools to focus on custom pool builds that put quality ahead of volume. As a father of two, he knows how important it is to build pools that are safe, functional and designed for real family life. As an ambassador for The Bahamas, he draws inspiration from island design, clean lines and resort-style outdoor living.
Today Blue Key Pools is still owner-operated, and Chris is personally involved in every project. When you call, you talk to the person who will design and oversee your pool.
