Blue Key Pools was founded in 2018 by Chris Hetzel, whose connection to the swimming pool industry spans generations.
Chris grew up immersed in the pool business while his father operated a successful swimming pool maintenance company. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2005, he joined his brother’s pool renovation company, gaining hands-on experience in remodeling, construction, and project management.
After years in the field, Chris founded Blue Key Pools, focusing on custom pool builds that prioritize quality over volume.
As a father of two, Chris understands the importance of building pools that are safe, functional, and designed for real life. As an ambassador for The Bahamas, he draws inspiration from island design, clean lines, and resort-style outdoor living.
Today, Blue Key Pools remains proudly owner-operated, with Chris personally involved throughout every project.
